Assessment Drives Learning: The Solicitors Qualifying Exam Eliminates U.K. Law School Requirement

The regulatory body that oversees the legal profession in England and Wales, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), has enacted a major overhaul of legal training and solicitor licensure. This will take effect in 2020.

On Lawyer 2 Lawyer, hosts Bob Ambrogi and Craig Williams join attorney Mark A. Cohen, CEO of Legal Mosaic and Julie Brannan, Director of Education and Training for the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), as they discuss how the U.K. is eliminating the requirement of attending law school in favor of a skills exam. They talk about that exam, its potential impact on law students and the legal community, and whether or not the United States will adopt a similar practice.

Mark Cohen, the CEO of Legal Mosaic, is a Distinguished Lecturer in Law at Georgetown Law School and writes a weekly column on the global legal marketplace for Forbes. Mark recently wrote a piece for Forbes titled, “A British Reboot of Legal Education– Law School Optional.”

Julie Brannan is the director of education and training for the Solicitors Regulation Authority better known as the SRA out of the U.K. She joined the SRA in October 2013, and since then has been leading the Training for Tomorrow review of legal education and training.

The truth about actor, singer Seo In guk

The truth about actor, singer Seo In guk

Seo In-guk ( born October 23, 1987) is a South Korean singer and actor. He launched his singing career after winning the talent reality show Superstar K in 2009, and made his acting breakthrough in tvN’s Reply 1997. Since then, he has starred in television series High School King of Savvy (2014), 38 Revenue Collection Unit (2016) and Shopaholic Louis (2016).
Early life and education
Seo was born on October 23, 1987, in Ulsan.[1] He decided to become a singer at the age of ten, after being inspired by the Korean rock musician Kim Jung-min. He performed at family gatherings and school events, and went on to study Applied Music at Daebul University, also auditioning in entertainment agencies. After repeatedly being rejected and told to lose weight, he struggled with bulimia for a time.

2009-2012: Superstar K and Reply 1997
In 2009 Seo competed in the Mnet singing contest Superstar K, winning the show’s first season.

In 2012,Seo was part of the cast of the jukebox musical Gwanghwamun Love Song and made his onscreen acting debut with a supporting role in KBS’s Love Rain. He also signed with Japanese agency Irving Entertainment. He landed his first leading role later that year, in cable channel tvN’s ’90s nostalgic hit drama Reply 1997. Seo’s portrayal of a teenage boy in unrequited love with his childhood best friend won praise from both audiences and critics. He also recorded two singles for the soundtrack (both duets with co-star Jung Eun-ji), and one of them,”All For You”, became one of the best-selling singles of the year on the Gaon Single Chart. Shortly after, he appeared in MBC’s weekend drama The Sons (also known as Rascal Sons).

2013-2015: Japanese debut, variety shows and returns to acting
Seo joined the newly launched reality/variety show I Live Alone from January to June 2013.
